Instrumentation of a Flute Ensemble
When flute ensembles first began, they were only made up of C flutes. However, the instrumentation had expanded overtime to allow for new colors in the sound. These are the most common flutes found in a typical flute choir, however there are more types of flutes like contrabass and contra-alto that may also occur.
